My Thrifted Closet First Giveaway




I want to thank my 70 followers. I've had this blog for a little over a month and I appreciate all the love and support. I LOVE YOU GUYS!! For all you have given to me, I'm giving these two things away to a special follower. Both are OF COURSE thrifted. The giveaway was originally slated to end Sunday at Midnight, but will be EXTENDED to Tuesday at Midnight because of Blogger issues. Thanks in advance for understanding.

    A thriftshionista is someone that has a style that is unique and has style that cannot be duplicated or replicated through their love of bargain finds, vintage clothing and mixing eras of fashion with their budget.

    a thriftshionista is ME! growing up as the only girl in the mist of five brothers my mom always worked hard to provide for us. sometimes it would get too hard on her, I've always loved fashion and wanted to be a designer, stylist, journalist, etc(it obviously changed over and over and over what i wanted to do lol). if it was something to do with fashion it was me. my grandmother always took me thrifting and this is were i learned to work with what i got. i feel like thrifting is a secret society for people who love to stand out, be different and enjoy the vintage/classic pieces we find. turning nothing to someone else into something is what thrifting is all about and i love it.

    Thanks for doing your feature on me, as well as this awesome giveaway.

    As far as what a thriftshionista means to me, I think it's having the knowledge that looking good and being fashionable doesn't necessarily equal only wearing brands (although it is nice) and spending a lot of money. It means that you are creative and that you have a true eye for creating a great outfit without relying on how much it cost or where you get it from. It takes the superficiality out of fashion is a way.

    To me, a thriftshionista is someone who is confident and daring enough to forget the norm and express themselves through the treasure of used/vintage clothing. They are able to take discarded items that may look "eh" on the rack and turn into a high fashion, integral part of an outfit.

    Thriftshionistas are the people that you see with the most amazing outfits that just work for them because on anyone else, it just wouldn't look right. Thriftshionistas are the future Coco Chanels, Michael Kors', and Yve Saint Laurents. Fashion is all about taking risks and I feel that doing so confidently is the epitome of a thriftshionista.

    I could ramble on and on about this, but I figured you wouldn't want to read a book :) I hope this was enough. Love you girly!
