Hey, Men Thrift Too!!

Hello Again,

I think I would be doing you guys a disservice if I gave you the impression that only women thrift because that is FALSE. It has however been hard for me to find men to feature on my blog. I have contacted the ones that I've found and I'm hoping I will get more male representation. :) Therefore, I am SUPER EXCITED to present to you guys Spencer, my FIRST thriftshionisto (there's such a ring to that). I found Spencer on Lookbook (one of the best days on my life.) His style BLEW me away. He is soooo fly and sooooo dope and better yet, he loves thrifting as much as I do. I am soooo glad that he took the time out to answer my interview questions. . Here's Spencer to show men and of course you lovely women what he comes up with!!!! 1 .Do you think a lot of men thrift? If not, why don't they?

Not really, because they may feel that its “dirty” somewhat.

2. What was your first thrifting experience? How often do you thrift now?

Ive been doing it for so long I honestly can’t even remember what it was like my first time, now I thrift probably once every two weeks.

3. How can thrift stores appeal more to men?

Have their girlfriends drag them along lol. Possibly carry or display their items better.

4. Why do you thrift?

Thrifting is so much more cheaper and you can find sooooo many more better items in a thrift store than any shopping mall really.

5. What does being a thriftshionisto mean to you?

Being a male who specializes and enjoys thrift shopping and all its wonderful finds.

6. Do you think your thrifted pieces make a statement?

With all types of garments it’s all depends on how you want to wear it and carry yourself in it that will really give a statement of some sort.

7. What advice would you give to someone interested in thrifting in general?

It takes a lot of patience, you wont find something on every occasion. And really take your time while searching around it’s a long process.

8. What special tips do you have for men?

Never be afraid to be yourself.

9. Did you agree to be featured?

I agreed to be featured because I really love the concept behind this blog and I think everyone needs to have more awareness on the greatness of thrift shopping.
