OOTD: Taste the... Watermelon?

Hello Lovelies,

I am back again with another post. I wore this outfit yesterday and I have become lowkey obsessed with color blocking. I LOVE LOVE LOVE mixing colors because I love colors SOOOO much. They give me life. I'm wearing my favorite color, coral so I was such a happy camper. As happy as I am, I can't wait for this week to be over. I have been working my butt off in classes and I'm ready for a break. I'm actually excited for this semester to be over.

Also, I have the saddest story about my earrings. They actually had feathers attached to them that made them so FIERCE, but one feather came off and I couldn't repair it, so I had to take them ALL off. SAD. SAD. SAD.

But anyways,  I hope you guys are fabulous.

Love you guys!!

What I Wore to Class:
 Bat Wing Top-$7.99 @ Ross
 Dress Turned Skirt-$14.99 @ Rainbow
Flats-$20 @ Target
Earrings- $6.99 @ Burlington Coat Factory

OOTN: A Night Out With the Girls

Hello Lovelies,

I should definitely be sleeping right now because I have a 9 am class, but I just thought I'd put these up before my week gets too hectic. I am just letting you guys know that my posts may become a little less frequent because I've decided to get back on my work out grind and that means I'll be wearing work out clothes throughout the week (how awful and unfashionable). I realized that the days I dress up, I never even blinked at the gym.... so... I have to sacrifice my vanity. Don't give up on me because I'm not giving up on you :)

On to the post, I actually went out this Saturday (I NEVER go to parties on campus, because they are... um... wack) My friend talked me into going and even bought my ticket (yes I have to pay to be miserable) so I said hey, why not. As expected, the party was a bust and there was even a fight resulting in a girl's hair being pulled out (not extensions... her actual hair..) It was not pretty and it was an awful situation and needless to say, I'm going to stay in my room and  just skype my boo from now on.. I can't do the drama or wasting my precious time.

On the bright side, I got to dress up which was a plus. :)

Till Next Time,

Live. Laugh. Love Thrift.

OOTD: I May Never Make It to Mardi Gras, but I Can Pretend

Hello Lovelies,

So..... Everybody Everywhere put out a challenge to wear colored pants. I throw on some colored pants today and then I find out that the challenge is closed. Just my luck right?? I always seem to miss their challenges LOL. I still enjoyed rocking this outfit today. It reminded me of Mardi Gras and that definitely made me happy because I'd like to participate someday. It's really because of the vest. My mom actually found this in Mega Thrift and I was soooo excited. It has the DOPPPPEEEEEESSSSSSTTTTTTT pattern and beading!! Have you guys ever worn something and it reminded you about something special? Let me know.

I know... don't judge me! :) I wanted to wear my striped crop top again so I thought I'd show you how to transform a night time outfit into a day time one.

OOTD: When You Run Out of a Title

Hello Guys,

I was trying to name this look/post but I came up blank. Yes I know, it happens to the best of us. Today, I decided to pull out a maxi dress that I bought in Florida less than a month ago. I loved the outfit, but my hair has not been cooperating lately. It won't twist and it takes FOREVER to dry. She is going through an awkward phase and I hope she gets over it soon because I need to return to my signature, low-maintenance hair style. For now, I'm trying to make it work.

Well that's about it guys. I hope all is well with your world today :)

What I Wore:
Maxi Dress-$10 @ Simply Fashions
Feather Earrings-$1 @ Random Jewelry Store (Florida)

OOTD: "You Look Ethnic"

Hello Beauties,

I hope you guys had an amazing weekend. My life is pretty hectic right now. When I'm not doing work, I'm thinking about doing work. I'm surviving either way, so I'm grateful.

OK, so I really enjoyed this outfit that I wore today. I got a lot of compliments and one of my male friends said "you look thrifty. I know thrifty when I see it." I couldn't help but laugh and was quite flattered. However, the funniest part of my day occurred when  another one of my friends said, "you look ethnic." She then elaborated that I "looked connected to the motherland" lol. I had the afro and the wooden earrings so she got a good laugh out of me and I wasn't offended at all. I mean, did I have reason to be?

Anywho, I hope I do better at posting more frequently, but I can never get anyone to take pics of me... Maybe this week will be better :)

I love you guys!!!

Teal Top-$3 @ Marianne's
Lane Bryant Rust Skirt-3.75 @ Goodwill

OOTD: The Rain NEVER Gets Me Down

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday!!! How are you guys doing??? Today was a very rainy and dull day in Winston, but I refused for the ugly weather to hamper on how beautiful I felt inside. I spent most of the day hiding from the rain because I've lost my umbrella. The umbrella in the pics were just a prop borrowed from one of my friends at the END of the day, after getting wet ALL day. But hey... that's life and I am still alive and well. I hope you guys also have a reason to smile even through the rain :)

I am a walking tropical statement and hey, I don't mind.

BTW, I am definitely late but be sure to check out Shana's Color Blind . A few weeks ago, I was chosen as the Thrifters Anonymous Member of the Week. You can check out that post here.
