Goodbye Fabulous 2011, Hello Fierce 2012

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Today is officially the LAST day of 2011 and what a very lovely year it has been. I went natural, I had my FIRST kiss, fell in love for the FIRST time, I started this blog, I got to travel to Nicaragua, and the list goes on and on. I want to thank you guys for spending this year with me. With your love and support, you continually push me to discover the thriftshionista inside myself that has been stifled for far too long. As we go into this new year, I encourage all of you to visit a thrift store and find a unique item, and THEN  WORK IT!!! Undoubtedly, 2011 has been fabulous, but 2012 is bound to be FIERCE. For the most part, this year will jump off in London and I am ready to create new lasting memories that I can share with all of you and remember for years to come. As we say goodbye to this year... Let's recap on my best outfits of the year. These outfits were chosen from the most popular blog posts, Lookbook hypes, Tumblr notes, and personal preference. I need your help in choosing my NUMBER ONE outfit of the year with hopes that I can top it in 2012. Ready to help me meet this challenge?

See You Next Year!!

The Collegiate Powerhouse

 I loved my huge pomp!

Hello Babes,

It has been FAR TOOOOO long since I last posted. I have been busy with finals. I JUST completed a 12 page paper that I need to proofread and send off to my professor, but I am giving my mind a break before I finish up, I also need to start studying for my last exam in the a.m. It's computer science... pray for me lol. I wore this outfit like a week ago, and as you can see, I pulled out my red wine skirt yet again. I just love the color and the look of it so after a month of waiting to wear it, I decided why not. I try not to wear the same things too often, but I couldn't resist. Besides, I am starting a new feature on here titled "When Did I Wear It Best?" since the other post got so much reception.

This time I created a new look that made me feel like such a powerhouse. There is something about the blazer that gives me authority. You probably can't noticed but my earrings are leopard which contrasts with my tie, but I put on the earrings and added the tie way after because I thought something was missing from the look. I thought it was still a good combo... Let me know what you think.

What I Wore for A Presentation:
Light Yellow Button Down-$3.75 @ Goodwill
Tie-$1 @ Goodwill
Long Red Wine Skirt-$3.75 @ Goodwill
Earrings-$2 @ Ashley Stewart (Can you say deal?)
Lace Detailed Boots-$27 @ Evans
Oatmeal Colored Blazer-$5-6 @ Mega Thrift
"Queen" Brooch-DIY

Now... my question to you is...

Stylish or Stewardess?

Hello Guys!

I would like to start out by saying thank you for all the love. This blog is 14 readers away from 400. How exciting!  Tomorrow will make 8 months since the day I started this blog and I'm happy to see that it has grown and transformed so rapidly thanks to all of you. You guys are the greatest!

Also, I just thought that I would show you guys what I wore yesterday for a presentation for my entrepreneurship class. You guys know I LOVE colors and I rarely wear black and white... Actually, never. However, I suggested that my group wear that color combination just because I knew everyone would have something to wear in their closet. However, this will be one of FEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW times you see me wear black and white. I do appreciate the classiness and sex appeal of black and white, but I'm a rainbow baby. You can see that I made my scarf into a neck tie, to give myself a POP of color.

Anywho, I put on this outfit and I enjoyed it, but laughed as I walked out the door thinking that I looked like a flight attendant.  Lo and behold, I walked into class and one of my  flamboyant guy friends snapped his fingers and said "Looking like a classy stewardess . ."I busted out laughing because if he only knew, we were thinking the exact thing!

What I Wore for A Class Presentation:
Men's Long Sleeve Button Down-$3.75 @ Goodwill
Floral Scarf-$1-$2 @ Mega Thrift
Black Trousers-$3.75 @ Goodwill
Loafers-$3.50 @Goodwill ( I wear these WAY too often, but they are MY favorite)
Belt-$1 @ Goodwill (As seen in recent thrift haul video)
Blazer-$4-5 @ Mega Thrift
Earrings-Mom Gifted

I got a lot of compliments on this outfit and people LOVED my hair, but it was result of a FAILED (UBER FAILED) twist out on flat ironed hair

Also, since the new year is coming up, I thought I would ask:

White Pants Way After Labor Day in the Spirit of My 90's #Swag

HELLO!!!

I know, I know....What a long title. I just thought it was fitting for my outfit. I wore this outfit this past Thursday, but today was my only opportunity to post. Sometimes I forget that I'm a 90's baby because I am so infatuated with the 70's and 80's. However, I went back to my roots that day and it was really fun. The glasses are definitely not mine. I never wear sunglasses because I can never find a pair that fits my face. I stole them from Chakayla of Classic.Raw.Beauty.

I hope you guys had a great weekend!!

Also, if you haven't checked out my FB page yet, please do so. Click HERE. I would like to thank everyone who is sharing their finds. I hope more of you will join in!

XOXO
