1. What was your first thrifting experience? It was when I started my brand of clutches, Clutch Culture, and I needed clothes for models in my shoots.
2. How often do you thrift now? It just depends on how creative I'm feeling. But I try to make a trip at least once every week or two. The more creative I feel the more frequent trips I make.
3. A lot of plus size women complain that they can't/don't thrift because they never find anything in their size .What do you think about this? What has been your experience?
I used to be that person that thought there would be nothing amazing in the thrift store for my shape. However, I'm now a very open minded person when I go thrifting. I thrift with an unrestricted eye that is open to the possibility of finding something unique that I can always tweak to make it fit me better.
4. Do you have any tips for plus size women when thrifting? Think beyond what is right in front of you. See if something can be tapered, tweaked or cinched to make it flatter your gorgeous shape.
5. What items do you have the most luck finding? blazers, amazing printed skirts, earrings and purses.
6. Why do you thrift? To maintain my sanity!!!!! haha... Well, it's who I feel I am. I love the thrill of searching through clothes and the anticipation and utter rush I get from finding something fantastic! I just absolutely LOVE it!
7. If you had to choose, what are your favorite thrifted pieces? my entire blazer collection!
